The supply of fresh water and the improved treatment of human waste and wastewater to reduce gut infections and water borne illnesses.
Until 2016, these projects were HH’s and all projects will be continued by HH O/S.

The project in PNG, run by Sago Network, used WorldSkills Foundation support to find the most appropriate hand powered water pumps for the local conditions.
HH has provided support to develop assessment protocols for composting toilet use and function and to consider a variety of toilet options for coastal PNG
WS PNG Sanitation Project
Sago Network, with the assistance of the WorldSkill Foundation, developed hand pump technology for water supply. Data loggers combined with other ideas for assessing the use, effectiveness and local acceptance of the 2 composting toilets have also been put in place.
Sago Network will continue the projects in PNG. HH continues to be a project partner willing to offer advice help but no future works are currently planned.
